I just got home after three weeks of work travel, vacation and road trips. My diet was less than perfect during my long days sitting in airports, driving along Midwestern highways and celebrating with friends and family. Luckily, I didn't gain weight because I'm extra careful about portion control when I travel, but I did get used to eating more processed food than usual. For me, this creates an increased need for sugar, salt and processed carbohydrates. My fix? A post vacation detox diet.
